Misty is being given a focus so we can develop her character since leaving Opaline. We’ve had a Movie and Tell Your Tale episodes focusing on Sunny Starscout. It’s time to explore the new Misty since she’s a deep and complex character with plenty of room for interesting development. I think putting a focus on Misty makes alot of sense.

Furthermore Sunny herself said that the Brighthouse reveled her the new room as a sign that she belongs in the Crystal Brighthouse. Plus I think that Sunny Starscout would be very sad to hear you whinge about Misty.

This episode has been quite beautiful. After years of living in a emotional nightmare under Opaline, Misty being handed this to help her rebuild her life was quite exciting and touching to see her so happy.

First of all, just because we’re a smaller fanbase than the g4 fandom, doesn’t mean that we should be a hivemind. If someone is upset by an episode, they should share why. I think it’s constructive to everyone involved, especially if show staff, on a miniscule chance, should see this thread.

Now, I’m complaining because it feels like Misty gets writer favoritism. Misty has moved into the Brighthouse for less than 10 episodes, and she gets chosen over another unicorn and an alicorn that have been living there for so much much longer. What did Misty do to earn this extraordinary privilege? It was just dropped on her lap, no questions asked, just because. Meanwhile, Misty owes the very magic she used in this episode to Sunny’s quest to unify ponykind and efforts to keep magic alive in Chapter 1 of Make Your Mark. All things the m5 had to earn and had to do on their own volition, against the will of 3 different societies.

Here’s a hypothetical question for you. Let’s say that there’s a new 3D MLP G5 show. In this show, Misty’s spellbook is gone, never mentioned, and had never existed. How would that make you feel? Would you be irritated? Upset? Would you think that’s unfair for Misty? The funny thing is, this scenario has already happened. With Sunny’s Locket from Make Your Mark. Watching a character get a special magical gift, while another character loses theirs, stings. I believe that Sunny Starscout, in contrast to Misty, suffers from writer disdain/antipathy.

Maybe she did mention she would come back and plus this might not be the last time we see this room we might see it again but with all the mane 6 in the room maybe there is more secrets to solve that involves all of them

We’ll just have to hope that whatever is in secret room isn’t exclusively Misty’s, and the other characters will get to benefit from it. Not just Misty.

Right, that’s what I can’t shake off too. There’s so much lost potential emanating around this episode, considering that Misty’s the only main protagonist they ever write about now, apart from the other mane five ponies’ stories in recent episodes. Might give this a better first impression since that’s showered with expanded G4 lore everywhere, including the smooze and Tirac from G1. Better safe than sorry. But either way, in Izzy’s encouraging words: Never know until you try.

What in the world is happening. Seems kind of out of nowhere for Misty to get this special treatment in Sunny’s home but we’ll see where this goes
