i think there would have been some stigmas around dragons in the early seasons.
Even by the low standards of how the ponies act towards non-ponies, I’ve never been a big fan of how dragons are portrayed in G4. Early on the series treats them like a halfway point between “Pony sapience” and “Literal animal”, and then later on they are given a proper civilization, but they’re all jerks and Spike is “the good one” cause he’s more pony-like.
Hot-take from the dragon guy but I’ve never even really liked Smolder.
“used to be” afraid of dragons? Son, the ponies were still hyper racist against anything that wasn’t a pony all the way up to the end, especially in the comics.
