The PS3 and xbox 360 were cool (as were their predecessors) but I try to retain a certain level of liberty in all areas of my life. When I use a PS4 or xbox one, it will be because I did things that would certainly void the warranty and potentially the computer fraud and abuse act.
 
Think about this for a moment: The war on “piracy” has been going on for some time and I can still download all the free music I want. I also found schematics for a HERF made out of a microwave even though I know the police around here wouldn’t want me to have one.
 
It doesn’t matter what hardware or software producers do or even what our governments do, we’re going to dissect and experiment with these technologies until we can use them as we please…
