@Background Pony
The ones that are raised the most uncouth yet have such extreme loyalty, even if its to one person, are the ones that can surprise you the most.

These are the people that will go through hell and back to protect you. You don’t want them to stick them around overly happy people all the time, but they are fierce friends. :)

…In a weird way, I sort of admire Gilda over Twilight in one aspect. Gilda values her best friend so much she tries her best to suppress her rough nature (Pinkie Pie interfering with her personal time with RD did not help her patience) to stay close to her, while Twilight values Celestia’s word over her best friends, Spike and her family combined.

Its a weird thought considering Twilight, especially S1 and S2, has so many likable attributes. But in this one aspect…they are like polar opposites, and Gilda’s the one in the right.

I’d rather not have a friend that shoplifts, pranks the elderly, and yells at people for accidentally bumping into them, thank you very much.

It actually kinda looks like Gilda’s at least trying to smile.
Trying to put up with everything for Dash certainly gives her points for at least trying to be a friend.

Sorry Gilda, I’m just not into interspecies. But check out Twilight’s butt!

I’m trying so hard to listen to you, but the only thing getting through is that you will never return the feelings I have for you.

That’s what I’m reading from from this contextless cap
