@Kanrabat
Maybe we’ll get something masterpiecey in 2016 for the 20th BW anniversary.
One of the nice things about the Cybertron/Galaxy Force line was the variety, with transformers from different planets having their own aesthetic.
The upcoming series looks nice, though I do hope it addresses some of the things that happened during “Predacons Rising” I’d love to see Knock Out as an Autobot, and I hope the Predacons don’t just disappear.
I adored Prime and Animated and I’m sure to like the upcoming series, who will be a kinda mix of the two.
Also, the Cybertron / Galaxy Force toyline is one of my favorite because it’s the perfect vlend of classic and originality. With big square bots but with great articulations and somewhat non intruisive cyberkey gimmicks.
At least, in the recent Generations line, they acknowledge other things than G1 exist. With hommages figures getting released one after the others. Now, if only the Masterpeice line would follow suit… I’d really like a MP Beast Wars Megatron, yesssss.
@Ichijoe
No, it goes to show that Megatron was being an idiot. If you need someone to aim and fire you, why not at least pick Soundwave? When Starscream’s not being treacherous, he’s being incompetent. Why do you go running to him when you need someone to pull your trigger? You’re lucky your lazy-ass RiD counterpart is around so you’ve got at least someone to be better than.
Admittedly, Megs may have been better in the comics, but I’m not in a position to catch up on thirty years and three or more different publishers’ worth of Transformers comics right now, and most people think of the carton when they think G1 anyhow.
BW, Prime, Animated, are the ones I like best, though I’ve also got a fondness for Rescue Bots, and managed to enjoy RiD, Cybertron, and even Beast Machines.
Maybe I’m just bitter because everything other and G1 and the horrible Bayformer movies tends to get second-class status.
Well, if you don’t like the classic look (a rarity, really) what do you like best? Bayverse, Primeverse, Unicrontriloverse, Beastverse, RIDverse, or Animeverse?
@Kanrabat
First one is still “classic” stuff and isn’t quite my thing, Armada version looks like slight improvement but needed a way to put cannon on hip. And I’m not wild about the way the cannon blocks off the right arm’s elbow.
@Ichijoe
Realistic toy guns are no longer legal, at least in the US. Plus, why would you want an alt mode that can’t move on its own and forces you to rely on freakin’ Starscream of all people to aim and fire you? Wouldn’t you rather be a jet or a dragon or anything that isn’t a handgun?
@Kanrabat
Needs more alt Walther P-38 Mode No its not Megs! But, it is the Prop (The Walther P-38: The Man From U.N.C.L.E.), that Megs was based off of!
BEST ALT MODE EVER!
I’d think Fluttershy would go better with Tigatron, but I guess by the rules you’re using, you had to put her with someone from the Bayformer universe. (Or RiD)
I suspect that Megatron is a third party figure, but which one is it?
He was, depending on the continuity, either a clerk of some sort or a laborer. Either way, he didn’t want to be a soldier or a leader. Orion joined the war through necessity, not desire.
Animated!Optimus was literally a younger version of Optimus Prime, which is not the same as Orion Pax.
Of course I know that. However, it’s a YOUNG and INEXPERIENCED Optimus, but with a strong potencial. I think that’s exactly how Orion Pax was supposed to be.
In my headcanon, Orion Pax (Animated Optimus Prime) lived his Animated adventures. Then, Thousands of years passed…
Then Orion Pax “grew up” and became OPTIMUS MOTHERFUCKING PRIME!

I’m aware this makes me a heretic.
Just goes to show what bro’s the Decepticons were back then!

Because otherwise, this could happen to you:

is coming soon and will be quite affordable at any stores.
And it’s repaint/retool:
I’m not really big on “classic” stuff, honestly, plus that’s outside my price range.
I suspect that Megatron is a third party figure, but which one is it?
That’s Hegemon. I was lucky enough to buy him for “only” 115$ shipped. That was the first edition, that came with all guns accessories and weapons.
They did re-issue him, but with way less accessories for a much bigger price:

If you have the desire and the cash, buy him. It’s a great toy that will fit perfectly on your classic shelf.

Orion Prime didn’t have the same ring to it, i guess.
The same way Megatron randomly change color and call himself “Galvatron” just for the hell of it?

Obviously, I haven’t. Raises the question of why he changed his name, in that case.
Ever read the IDW series. Orion is a Badass police chief in that. At one point he ripped of his own smoke stake and used it as a weapon.
@Kanrabat
I love that Optimus toy. I’ve been pretty dissapointed in the prime toy line, but this Optimus takes all the cake.
Orion wasn’t a warrior, though.

Nah, he was always named Optimus, although he wasn’t always a Prime.
I really liked Animated Optimus too… or should I call him “Orion Pax”?
Animated was best Optimus. That’s why he’s paired with best pony.
