One of the things that would make me laugh if they ever really explained how dragons age, which they probably should anyway: if they say that dragons only age through hoarding. That would be so hilariously against the show’s own logic I would even be mad at it, I’d just laugh.

Let’s say Twilight was around the CMCs age when she got her mark. So what, like 8? Twilight always struck me as college aged, so she’s like 21 or 22, maybe? So Spike would be around 14 or so? I don’t know. Just spitballing here.

If you wanna ship something, just do it, don’t try and ‘justify’ it by acting like Spike is a grown up or that this or that happened in the show that makes it plausible. Half of the most popular ships in this fandom have zero grounds in any form of canon, so just don’t bother trying to justify any ship with poor excuses. Just ship it and be done with it. You wanna ship Rainbow Dash with Iron Will? Go ahead, just don’t try and point to some insignificant part of the show to justify it. Just ship it.
