Chrysalis, having successfully absorbed the essence of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna and fed her swarm with the love of Canterlot, proceeded north to the Frozen Wastes to confront and devour Princess Cadence and her Crystal Empire. With the power of the Sun and the Moon and her army of changelings, it was easy to overcome her rival, who now awaits her fate to be consumed by the Queen of the Changelings.  
It is their nature, they were born needing to feed off of the love of other creatures to survive. But pickings were always slim and far between. However, on that day, Queen Chrysalis made a discovery about her race. They are never full, they will always want more, destined to forever want it and never be satisfied.  
A thought occurs to the her, perhaps she should temper her desire, lest it consume the world and eventually themselves. But the scent of the Princess of Love was too tempting, and so she forgoes conservation to satisfy herself and her children.  
Equestria is now the main dominion of the Changelings. But they’re greed and gluttonly are endless, they’re sights fixed on the neighboring nations of Dragons and Griffons. Her hunger is not yet sated, she can feel her children wanting more. They must feed.

Don’t forget Nightmare Moon, she’s in that fusion too. Someone should write a fanfic about this. The accidental merging of Nightmare Moon/Princess Luna, Queen Chrysalis, and Princess Celestia.

Chrysalis’s attempt to steal the power of the Sun and Moon didn’t go according to plan. The spell as ancient, many of the passages were barely translatable, and to horror of all present, the spell was unstoppable once cast.
 
When the light of the spell faded, and the screaming of the three immortals faded away, something new, something profane, stirred in the ruins of Canterlot.
 
The Princesses and Queen were dead. Long live the Empress.

Pffff, I’ve fought tougher bosses.
