Takara Tomy?
@Background Pony
Different BP here. The blind bags are not show accurate, and really come close only on some of the figures, but the Twilight one has this figure beat all to heck in terms of being show accurate. Of course, show accuracy isn’t everything; while I’m not interested in this particular toy, I can understand why other people would be.
Ironically, that’s what fans worried E.G. was, and it wasn’t.
Girls also like peanut butter crackers.
Agreed.
When I heard about it, I thought girls marketing had finally taken a step forward. “A line of toys about monsters in high school! Cool!” But no, they screw it up by focusing on the crap almost all girl toys focus on:
“ERMAGERD BOYS AND SHOPPING AND CHEERLEADING TRYOUTS AND MAKEUP!!!11!shift!!1 THAT’S ALL PRETEEN GIRLS THINK ABOUT RITE???!!!11”
It’s really too bad such a creative idea was put to waste like that.
Although I still think this is quite aesthetically pleasing, aside from the button, and I really like the molded mane + hair tail approach.
What, the blind bags? Obviously we have different ideas of “show-accurate” then…
Carry on.
Why am I arguing with you?
I have already pointed out that make show accurate toys very cheaply. The errors in this toy were not due to manufacturing difficulties or cost cutting - they were conscious design choices.
… I see my sarcasm is lost.
Look at exactly how these ponies work, mate, then reflect on the difficulties and expense of mass-producing or even creating perfect 3D renditions…
Those are show accurate from one particular perspective. A 3D model has the advantage of being accurate from all possible perspectives. The blindbags still win.
Here, have some 100% show-accurate toys:
Even the toy is pretty crappy. The £2 blindbags are more show accurate than this.
– kinda like this, actually. ° _°)
Some people just like to collect stuff.
