Where she said that?
It’s not clear from the animatic whether she’s being possessed or transforming by her own magic. And keep in mind, Word of Faust doesn’t carry as much weight anymore, the current show runners have already contradicted her (alicorn cadence, etc…)
But it’s not the other way. Get shreked.
>Sheepard shows up
>Try to grenade him
>He says some words
>Damn it, shut up, stop talking you asshole
>He keeps talking
>Had enough of this shit
>Shoot self

Yeah, even if it’s Word of Faust I still think it’s more interesting the other way. But we’ll see what happens in S4. Hard to say from the animatics.
Except, and this is something Faust said while she worked on the show so it’s canon, Luna’s turn wasn’t entirely voluntary either.
Yeah, they tried a little to do the whole nightmare sequence where she’s “convinced”, but it’s clear from her words later on that Rarity was not the one talking while in “nightmare” form.
Luna, on the other hand, was filled with hatred and bitterness for her sister and became Nightmare Moon because of it, on her own accord. Then there’s always that possibility that anypony could become a nightmare if they give into their hate. Just works better as an allegorical friendship lesson and all.
Possession/mind control is steering their actions as if they were a RC car, indoctrination is persuading them that what you want is also what they want, so they do it of their own volition and with all the cleverness they can muster.
No, they were corrupted by demons of the Shadow Realm.
So we’re kind of back to square two on finding out who or what is responsible for this horror of horrors.
Except it turns out that the “demons” were moon critters that were themselves indoctrinated.
I’m just saying. Those shadows were demons. Demons don’t ‘indoctrinate’. They corrupt or possess. That is the nature of demons.
Indoctrination is more… subtle, compared to straight up mind control. Not done all at once.
This isn’t Warhammer rules, ya mook.
I’ve seen someone play it. I went and asked him, he says they’re the same thing.
Demons of shadow and darkness, but demons all the same.
You ever played Mass Effect?
