Back when I first discovered ponies the initial drama was just folk trying to justify watching the show, these days the drama seems to be about finding reasons to stop watching haha.

I never considered the Pinkie Keen episode as a true controversy because it was simply up to interpretation. And injecting the god theory was pure forced conjecture.

The Vinyl Scratch’s eye color Drama was the worst in my opinion; simply because of how petty it seems.

I remember the FPK “drama”, it was still slowly going on when I found ponies.
 
But at least those little dramas back then had something to do with the actual episodes. Not like the dramas we have now.

Seconded. At least with the alicorn drama, we got to discuss interesting things like:
 
-The definitions surrounding “Mary Sue”  
-How much influence people in suits (i.e. Hasbro) should have on the creative process?  
-Is a major (at least narratively speaking) paradigm shift such as this a good or bad thing for the show?  
-Will this mean we will actually learn about what exactly “alicorns” are, or will we be stuck with fanon?  
-Is the show jumping the shark with this?

Meh I’ve never cared for much drama in the fandom in general.

Actually to be fair there was some drama as far back as season 1. Feeling Pinkie Keen caused drama about if the episode was making fun of atheists, and Over a Barrel had some people causing drama over whether or not if it was a good episode simply because it was fun, or if it kinda sucked for having a poor handling of the morale (or if it even had a morale to begin with).

I got a COUPLE of laughs out of this DWM thing.

I concur. Complaining about a shitty movie or a shitty episode is one thing…But when you try to censor an artist and call bronies rape apologists and scum…That’s a whole other thing…A thing that must be put down…Like dissident rebel scum.

I will never, ever, ever use the term alicorn to describe a pony with wings and a unicorn horn. I don’t care what anyone else says, alicorn is the material of a unicorn’s horn.

I think I preferred the EQG drama over the recent DWM drama. At least that one brought out lolz.

I miss 2011. Before there was drama. We watched the show and enjoyed it. That was it.
