Cute story. And now the thought of some cops thinking “Did I just see a unicorn driving a car? I gotta get off the night shift.” Popped in mind.

It had taken Lyra some time to learn how to operate the humans’ strange and amazing horseless carriages, but the “Nash Metropolitan,” as her particular auto was named, has served her well these past seven months. Procuring the “gasoline” required to power the conveyance was a constant concern for the minty mare, but the lesson in siphoning she’d learned from an uncommonly friendly hick in a place called “New Hampshire” had been serving her well, ethical issues aside.
 
As she’d continued traveling across these “United States,” listening to the newest Disco hits on the scratchy radio and staying off “the grid,” whatever that was, Lyra made sure to write down the number printed on the back of each of the carriages she’s borrowed gas from, telling herself that some day, she would find a way to repay their owners for their unwitting kindness. There was still so much to see, after all, and by Celestia, this little pony was going to see it.
