This is my headcannon they have always been headcrabs but celestia hasn’t told them and they still believe that they are pony’s but no one wonts to tell them the truth and potentially cose a great catastrophe when they find out they mit be in shock or they mite be amazed about what they rely are and good about there lives happy. Or there headcrab instincts Mite kick in and then there’s going to be som crying pony’s with headcrabs on them or maby both who know who will know

applecrab: latches on to apples ALOT  
Crabshy: prefers to latch onto animals, especially rabbits  
Twilight crab: can’t be coaxed out of the library wings, rumors of her latching onto books are unfounded but numerous  
Pinkie crab: will viciously attack and eat any cake in sight, will also attempt to latch onto the balloons  
Raricrab: likes to play with fabric, ripping it with her claws, WILL NOT go anywhere near mud or dirt  
Rainbow crab: highly energetic, can jump VERY far
