These are the comic writers’ fursonas for their Sonic/WH40k-cross-verse. There is no relation to anything Sonic beyond the art style, species mix, and occassional jabs at Archie comics
there were characters like that in a future version of angel island in the comics, but I don’t know whether this is an actual character.
Especially cos the MLP comics already did the same thing.
It’s funnier if you follow the comic itself.
According to this strip’s comment section, there was to be a storyline involving a brony cult, but it got scrapped and recycled into what you see here.
