You know what? You’re pretty much right about that Gilda couldn’t accept the fact that Dash had other friends then her, but the reason people are sympathetic to her is because she never really have a proper alone time with her friend. If I was in Twilight’s place I would’ve suggested to Pinkie that she should leave the two alone for the entire day and then try to hang with them the next. However it was the failure to tell Gilda that she was in a prank party (which was probably the first time she’s ever been in one) that drove Gilda to the breaking point and was led to believe that Dash’s friends were out to get her and wouldn’t bother trying to fit in with them.

obviously you have no empathy or you would have understood that gilda’s attitude was likely a cry for help and a throwback to some prior issues.

Rainbow Dash had plenty of empathy in Griffin The Brush-off. It was Gilda who couldn’t accept Rainbow Dash having other friends.

Gee, this kind of empathy would have been nice sixty or so episodes ago.
