Sombra/Slattern: Powerful enemies who are not to be taken lightly.
Chrysalis/Otachi: Dangerous uber bitches who give the heroes a really hard time as well as defeating powerful figureheads. (Chrysalis for Celestia and Otachi for Crimson Typhoon.)
Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon/Scunner and Raiju: Antagonists who work together.
Gilda/Mutavore: Female characters who only show up once for a short time.
Diamond Dogs (Fido featured)/Leatherback: Brutish thugs who rely more on their brawns as opposed to their brains.
Maybe because, oh I don’t know, it was an homage to two genres people usually associate with Japan that they grew up with (in this case mecha anime and kaiju films), it was directed by someone who actually KNOWS WHAT THE AUDIENCE REALLY WANTS AND KNOWS WHAT THE F#!K HE’S DOING, (which is more than I can say for a few other directors), it had its own world-building while not going too dark and it was fun as hell.
That’s kinda the whole point.
