“Why yes, I do collect a lot of MLP action figures, why do you ask?”

I was talking about Spike, since he’s kind of similar to her own creation.
Of course Price would manage to get that one…
Cook is writing the Luna micro.
What?
Unrelated, but kind of disappointed that Cook isn’t writinh other micros. The next one up actually would be perfect for her, even if it is slice of life.
It just goes beyond that for me for some reason, though. Like they could have made it more interesting and rely less on references and stock plots if they set it somewhere else.
Adventure stories are Cook’s forte with MLP, IMO.
The show had a ‘you saved me so I’ll be your servant’ episode, so even it isn’t above such things.
Besides, the whole point of the story is that it’s a lampoon of the 80s high school movies like Revenge of the Nerds so such cliches are to be expected.
Yeah, I think that’s it. The comic just had something I didn’t like about it in it that dragged it down.
Probably is telling such a cliche story that would be endlessly hounded upon were it in the show so straight? Even the setup is by the numbers…
Dolls often have decent articulation too. Action Figure is just a term some toy company made up to sell army men dolls to boys, otherwise dolls sounds too girly.
In ohter words, it’s too bad the writers are still stuck on the 90s.
This was already a cliché geek line back then, even in cartoons and films.
Hyperspace Hyperwars is a serious hobby. They have tournaments.
Then again, I’m not sure I’d want to know what ‘actions’ Shining would perform with them.
