I don’t know, I think ponies can be whatever culture people want, but you have a point, it could be cool to see what other species cultures are like, or other pony cultures.

I think Ponies are more representing white people(ie.Europe/America/England or whatever) from what I understand from most of the geography,language/accents and culture
 
Which I’m kind of annoyed where in most fanfics,theey’re the the only species we see as “Human Counterpart”(add in that group Griphons and Zebras if we’re lucky).  
Diamond Dogs,Dragons,Changelings*,Minotaurs,Goats,Cows and many other spieces/races have no Country,kingdom,territory,Government,culture ,political power or existance of resembling anything from humanity, apparently

Doesn’t help that back when the series first began, some lady made an article trying to say the show was “homophobic,” and tried to say Rainbow Dash was a “negative lesbian stereotype,” or something due to being a tomboy, and having rainbow color scheme. She also tried to say the show was “racist,” and other ridiculous SJW things.  
Lauren Faust’s rebuttal was epic though.

Eh, I don’t like jumping to conclusions about people I hardly know honestly. Some just prefer the “natural” skin-tones.

I admit, I kinda prefer the pony colors to natural skin-tones, ‘cause it always brings up debate, or anger on what “color” they should be…  
Even if you make them all white like here, people still get pissed that you didn’t diversify them, or something. (To be honest, I think there’s more tan/dark-skinned Twilight Sparkle pics then there are caucasian ones.)
 
Some even get upset if you make a humanized Pinkie a chubby girl, or something. I knew a girl who did that once, and people started giving her crap about it, and started calling her a “fat fetishist,” and such. (And she didn’t even make Pinkie that fat, just slightly chubby.)
