Seemingly, WayForward could implement a system wherein characters can switch from normal to crystal form to rainbow form to whatever future forms we see. This would theoretically work similarly to Mega Man or Super Paper Mario, the latter applying to both a character and ability switcher.

They should do that. It’s RAINBOW POWER, it should have something for her in it other than a measly tinsel filled brushable that all the others got! And at least have a plot, other than, “We’re magical princesses and we can make ourselves prettier than the others! Buy us!” Maybe something about Rainbow Dash doing something to prove girl power? Eh, looking at all the princessy stuff they have now, I guess this is just another huge stereotype girly thing.
What would happen if Rainbow Dash got rainbowfied? Double Rainbow Dash?
Girly colors look better with the rainbowfied thing?
Or maybe girly colors just sell more?
