No. I would be rude and inappropriate if I went to her personal FB page and started bullying her over her weight. I’m just commenting on a photo of her on a website she probably doesn’t even know of.
Besides, I don’t give a fuck. Like I said before, I don’t support tiptoeing around people’s self-induced shortcomings to spare their feelings, or handing out empty feel-good praise and A’s for effort. This post-modern bullshit is what’s wrong with today’s upbringing.
Nothing you say negates the fact that you’re being just plain rude and inappropriate.
Fine then she’s not “chubby” happy? But where I’m from “chubby” usually means “fat,” I just felt it seemed less rude then saying she’s fat, which is why I used it. No need to get so bent about it…
That’s also why I assumed you were calling the Pinkie Pie cosplayer “fat,” because you called her “chubby.” So I’m sorry if I misunderstood that.
I’m not “running away” I’m just fed-up with you, because you’re acting rude, and getting a bit personal. You’re not one to say I have “skewed standards,” with how you’re acting. I’m not insulting whatever the hell country you’re from, and nobody is going to take your arguments, or opinions seriously if you’re just going to insult them, or where they’re from, or saying certain types of people aren’t “cosplay material,” just ‘cause they’re overweight, but whatever…
As I said already, I’m done with you. Forget it.
The US is steadily the fattest country in the Anglosphere and the fattest first world country. How’s using facts “stooping to stereotypes” escapes me, since it would definitely help to explain his skewed standards.
@Beau Skunky
And where, did I call Pinkie fat or huge?
I merely used her as an illustration, to show you what “chubby” looks like and that this one is definitely not chubby.
The whole argument you’ve been doing nothing but bend my words and deny the obvious, so yeah, run away.
Stupid rusty memory.
Actually, the rate of obesity is now higher in Mexico than it is in the U.S. (trufax)
And, frankly, people that feel compelled to comment on someone’s weight rather than their cosplay are repulsive individuals searching for a reason to boost their own ego.
That’s when I decided to stop responding to him after this… That tells me he’s some kinda troll, or just xenophobic shallow jerk. (Also, ironically, I hear the obesity rate is actually increasing in other countries to, like Britain, & Canada to, so he’s not one to talk. So I’m getting sick of people acting smug, like America is the only country with fat people.)
Yes, the Pinkie Pie looks a li’l thick, I admit, but not what I’d call “huge,” or “fat,” but whatever…
Cosplay is just “for fun,” and if she’s having fun with her costume, that’s her business. Cosplay is not some kinda “beauty pageant,” and if you can’t accept that, it’s you’re problem.
Also, I’m actually quite skinny IRL, and American, so get bent, Justy. I’m through with you. Expect no more responses from me…
“do you live in the US? That would explain a little”
When you have to stoop to stereotypes, it’s pretty much now a given that no one should bother taking seriously.
I’m talking about the Pinkie. Who is slightly chubby.
If you seriously a.) can’t tell, and b.) are not convinced the Twilight in this (and this >>459345) picture is highly obese and in dire need of losing some weight, then you’re simply delusional (do you live in the US? That would explain a little). BMI is only off with certain body types and compositions. When her body looks like a barrel, her fingers like sausages and her face like a half-melted candle stub, then it’s not BMI at fault.
Yes, well, complaining about her weight on Derpibooru isn’t helping ANYONE. Not you, and not her.
Ok, first off that pic you linked to, those 2 cosplayers don’t look chubby at all… If that’s considered “fat” to you, then I’m just stop debating with you right now, as it’s a waste of time.
Being like 300 pounds is like “morbidly obese”… This girl doesn’t even look that huge. I’ve seen people way worse then this. That’s all I’m trying to say.
Also, some sources are now stating the BMI index needs to be updated, and isn’t entirely scientifically accurate. The game “Wii Fit” used the BMI index, and the game was calling perfectly normal-sized people “overweight,” when they weren’t for their height.
So the BMI index isn’t the best source for your argument.
Just being fat alone doesn’t make you unhealthy, there are some slightly fat people who DO exercise, who don’t eat constantly, or just have bad metabolisms, and some have no health problems whatsoever.
It’s mostly what’s in your diet, and activity that does. (Though, I’m not saying 400 pound people are “healthy,” before you start accusing me of that…)
Still, it’s unfair to judge this girl, or her health, or whatever based on her appearance alone.
Also, there’s actually some skinny people to who can get high cholesterol, and health problems to.
I’m not trying to encourage people to be fat, I just don’t see this girl as “disgusting insanely obese,” and needs to be starved until she’s the proper acceptable size,” like you’re claiming.
Anyway, I’m pretty sure her BMI is around 35-40.
You can squirm all you want, but that’s not “chubby”.
This is chubby: >>460100
>People like you are why young girls are developing eating-disorders, and starving themselves literally to death just to be “good looking.”
Your use of slippery slope is pretty pathetic, especially since I don’t like skinny girls at all. The girl in this pic is overweight way past the point where it’s become a significant health risk for her. Me stating the simple fact has nothing to do with anorexia (which is a laughably minor issue compared to obesity anyway). You, on the other hand, and other people denying the fact and assuring obese people that being overweight is perfectly normal or even desirable, is what’s keeping them from having any motivation to stop sitting on their asses, stuffing their faces with junk food and dying of cardiovascular diseases.
That’s pretty shallow really, if you think only skinny/anorexic people can be allowed to cosplay.
Also, if you consider this “disgustingly morbidly obese,” I’d hate to see what you consider an acceptable weight. People like you are why young girls are developing eating-disorders, and starving themselves literally to death just to be “good looking.”
Did you know it’s actually healthier for women to have some body fat? Women are actually meant to have more fat then men do.
Personally, I’m the kinda guy who thinks both thin, and fat girls can be pretty, they don’t have to be skinny, or obese, but a li’l chub doesn’t hurt… but that’s my opinion.
Because she’s just not cosplay material, even if she had a great costume (which she doesn’t). Sorry, but I’m not really into the whole modern “A for effort” thing where disgustingly obese people post pictures of themselves on the internet and people gush about how great they look as to not hurt their feelings. Same thing with terrible DeviantArt artists or fiction writers. Except writing or drawing trash never gave anyone a heart attack at 30.
The thing is, do you really even need to comment on her weight? You haven’t said a single word about her actual costume. Why do you NEED to make such a comment? To feel better about yourself? It’s inappropriate, and uncalled for.
Yes, it is, and I don’t even want to know what people look like where you’re from that you’d consider that thing anywhere near “chubby”. It’s literally a barrel of lard with a face that has lost any semblance of shape 20 kilograms ago.
Oh c’mon she’s not that “morbidly obese”… (I’ve seen worse.)
Well, the way I see it’s there’s several degrees of chubbyness… There’s soft, chubby, plump, fat, big, huge, obese, and “OH MY GOD! Push it back into the ocean!”
That’s not even close to chubby, that’s morbidly obese.
Joking aside, she’s actually a cute cosplayer. I don’t care if she is chubby.
