Will Im not a big fan of it myself(only been playing them for the last year) but as much as I would like a reference to some of the things I like to be in the show I know it’s going to be minimal if at all, so honestly I think if there is one here it’s just the title and nothing more.
True. Personally, I find it a bit to convenient to be a coincedence but that may be because I’m a bit of a Castlevania fan and I like the thought of them making a few references.
I’ll agree that “Castle-mania” may be one, but the pony of shadows, not really, it’s not like Lord of Shadows is the only thing with “of shadows” in it, in League of Legends there is Zed the master of shadows, there is some music from a company called Two Steps from Hell with the track name is Master of Shadows, there is a book named Master of Shadows: The Secret Diplomatic Career of the Painter Peter Paul Rubens.
True, but Castle-mania and Pony of Shadows seems a bit to close to Castlevania: Lords of Shadow for it not to be a reference. Of course, that might be the only reference and the rest of the episode might not have anything to do with it but a man can hope, right?

But haunted castles themselves are part of old myths.
For it to be a reference to Castlevania it’s going to have to have a mix like it or to something that really is from Castlevania on it’s own, like a pony with a name that’s a play on one of the Belmonts.
Pony of Shadows = Lord of Shadows?
Could still be, since Castlevania is technically a haunted castle itself. We’ll of course have to wait on the episode to see but it’s a nice thought.
Doubt it, seeing a most of the things in Castlevania are monster of old myths and legends.
