Neato, I’d love to get my hands on one of these.
The rare Chicago Protector Palm pistol. It’s actually a .32 revolver. I wonder how well such pistol shoots. Sadly people are reluctant to fire these extremely rare gun. If only there are reproductions… After all, a company actually made reproductions of those FP-45 Liberator pistols used during WW2.

Violent crime rates are affected by so many factors that it’s impossible to just claim high/low gun ownership rates cause high/low violent crime. But if anything, high legal gun ownership if high law enforceability and low to medium social/ethnic/religious diversity rates are met, means very low violent crime rates. Sadly, people on both sides of the gun rights argument use stupid examples with completely different backgrounds to make their point.
Yet, your country seems to have a lower violent crime rate than the UK. It could be due to the much smaller population.
It sure does. More lenient than US laws, sometimes (no SBR / SBS regulations, no 922r compliance to bother with, no mag capacity limits, etc.)
Still cheaper than a Glock 19, or the SigSauer P226. I heard the Czech Republic has some of the most lenient weapons laws in the Euro Zone.
Eh, don’t get me started. We get all the lemons and for 150% the price, despite the fact they’re made here. But in the US, it should be under $500, depends on the model.
Man, these guns… They’re made to work perfectly for almost like the rest of eternity, unlike many crap that are made today. Some Spanish Ruby pistols that were carried by officers in WW1 still work fine today, the ones that survived.
If you’re from the US, the SVD is way over $10,000 (import restrictions, there are only ~110 true SVD rifles in the US), probably closer to $20,000 nowadays.
In Europe, they can be had for $2-3,000.
But yeah, mine hovers below 1 MOA with 7n1 ammo, which is remarkable for a beat up 40 year old rifle with a 4x glass. People have reported results as good as .7 MOA using handloads.
Eh, I’m used to expensive guns, being European and all (except slavshit… Americans grinding their teeth at my $2500 SVD is like music to my ears).
But HK really takes it too far.
I’d rather get a Dragunov for MUCH cheaper.

How about $1000 for a Colt 1911, just because it’s made by Colt?
Well, these are just an accurized G3 with a new trigger pack… more of a designated marksman rifle, guaranteed 1 MOA isn’t really that stellar. Not in a 7+ kg rifle.
Never understood the price tag, honestly. It’s like you pay 300% just for the HK logo.
Not to mention sniper rifles, PSG-1 and it’s little brother, MSG90.
The G3 is a battle rifle, these are much, much older in concept.
Although yes, the original design (StG 45) was an assault rifle… but the system itself is pretty versatile, really, it has been used with pistol cartridges (MP5), intermediate rifle rounds (HK33) or full power rifle rounds (G3) with success.
This rifle is like, one of the oldest of it’s class of weapons, assault rifles. Yet it’s still used by many countries, such as Iran, Greece, Ghana, Turkey, you name it. Then again, STG 44 were reported to have been spotted in various modern conflicts throughout the latter 20th century. Hell, it’s even been spotted in the Syrian Conflict.
The G3A3 is based on the Spanish CETME which was based on a French CEAM prototype rifle, which was based on the the StG45.
The roller-delayed locking system design went places.
