If the Everfree Forest is completely tamed and no longer a source of potential hazards and new wonders, then yeah, I’m going to be bummed, though I’m not going to start saying “ruined forever!” as a result. If they just clear a path to travel safely (mostly) between the castle and Ponyville, then eh, I’ll be OK with that (though I’ll miss Twilight living in a library). And I’m not even going to waste time speculating on which (if either) is going to happen; after all, we’ll find out for sure in a few weeks.

I’m guessing that this is Celestia’s & Luna’s old castle. I’m also guessing it will be rebuilt and given to Twilight by the end of the premier.
 
I don’t think the Everfree will be “purified” or destroyed by the end of the premier most likely just reverted back to how it was in Se1 and ( maybe ) create a path from Ponyville to the Castle.
 
I mean if they did destroy the Everfree I would feel rather bad for all those Timber wolves, Manticores, Cockatrice, etc. losing there home.

She had said she meant the Everfree Forest to grow in Equestria’s borders and to be slowly expanding like a mysterious, ominous threat to the ponies.
 
So basically, a plant-based Smooze.
 
Evidently, they’re going to do just that for the S4 premiere, then get destroy it altogether right after.
