Celestia have a cooler design than her sister.
Eris is a turkey cousin of Discord.
DocDerp is a ship in the manga.
How exactly is the pun “wrong”? In any kind of multiverse the original source continuity can often be referred to as either the prime or MAIN universe.
Main Cast = ManeSix
Main Continuity = Maneverse
Plus it better parallels how we in the Lunaverse refer to our own main cast as the LunaSix.
That was my first exposer too. While it was a good story I didn’t get some of the context but I was still really interested so I stopped reading 1/4 of the way and read every story in the lunaverse in chronological order to get the right mindset and context and I’m glad I did as it was one of the best series I’ve ever read.
it’s a good thing that’s exactly what I was trying to say with it.
No, I can’t see anything suggestive about the use of a euphemism implying fornication, let alone explicit…
and what is unsafe, suggestive, explicit, or insulting about the word fucking, when used to express exasperation?
Whoa, language. Safe image.
exaggerating, much?
I mean, it’s a fucking pun, how hard is it to get a pun right…
You may think “No fun allowed”, but there’s no need to say it aloud.
Your link broke.
@Emeral Bookwise
Dude, that was 6 months ago.
@toxicitzi
Now now, no need to be mean.
canon > mane
main > mane
Pun
a joke exploiting the different possible meanings of a word or the fact that there are words which sound alike but have different meanings.
Actually, if you’re referring to the Lunaverse, we call the show the “Maneverse”, for pretty much the same pun reasons as Twilight and friends have always been called the Mane-Six.
Wouldn’t surprise me if that’s what happened to L!Celestia, that she got so desperate for some kind of hope that she ended up going power-hungry as a result.
What RainbowDoubleDash seems to be saying with the premise is that they were both about to break, Celestia from the strain of running a constantly-endangered country, and Luna from the same thing she did in canon.
Where, in the Canonverse, Luna succumbed first and transformed into Nightmare Moon, Celestia snapped first in the Lunaverse and became convinced that all of Equestria, day, night, and all in-between, was hers to rule, and hers alone.
Not to mention, where Luna was corrupted by evil forces and was transfigured, Celestia merely snapped and went insane.
It didn’t help her mental health, either, that Luna later stole Tirek’s power and fused it with a shadow clone (which would later become L!Cadænce) to make a sort-of pseudo-NMM to battle Crazy!Celestia (hereafter “Corona”) while the real Luna revved up the Elements Of Harmony to lock her away.
It sounds like a decent excuse, but it doesn’t really sound like an actual reason for her to snap out like that. She’s been more than capable of accepting the fact that major threats loom over her country for millennia, at least far better than what you’ve described.
The only way she would really fall is out of losing hope, therefore losing herself, just like her sister lost hope before she became Nightmare Moon in the canon universe. If someone like Discord is something they could take on easily, as well as pretty much everyone they’ve ever faced together, there is absolutely no reason at all for her to snap out and want more power to defend her kingdom, especially when she has said power in the Elements of harmony.
Alright.

I hope you like it and please leave comment.
Hey, I’m interested. Shoot us a link.
Several really. It’s kind of an alt-verse in several regards. The biggest is that Sunset is Celestia’s adopted daughter/apprentice. {I decided to call it the ‘Shimmerverse’.}
What’s the point if differentiation between your verse and canon?
I’m sorry if I got you riled up. I just don’t like evil-Celestia….Though, I have warmed up to it, I just haven’t gotten around to really reading that verse.
{I personally am working on an alt-verse…I’m kind of jealous of Lunaverse’s popularity, but I think I’m managing. I’ve got 5 chapters of it over on fimfiction. I could send you a link if you’re interested.}
Honestly, I’d explain it to you both, but it would take a while, and I would have to take it to PMs because it would be SO FUCKING LONG.
Actually since it’s the “canon” FiM-verse, we just call it the Canonverse.
@Evowizard25
Celestia isn’t evil per se, she simply snapped under the pressure of ruling a country in a world where everything else seems to exist solely to destroy said country.
She’s merely insane, though, from a narrative standpoint, not for much longer.
@toxicitzi
I’m going with Toxi, more so because of the way Celestia is portrayed. {An evil insane tyrant who became evil because ‘power’…Even though she already had more then her sister, and more admiration, and etc…It just doesn’t make sense and I hate it when authors make her the bad guy. It throws me off.}
That and given how I’m more ambivalent towards Luna and Trixie {Actually, I’ve started to like Trixie a bit more, since I’m starting to think of writing her.}{Luna’s overrated}, means I gave that verse a pass…I don’t hate it, it’s just preferences.
Then shouldn’t the main universe still be called the “Celestiaverse”? Because one of the bigger differences is that Celestia ruled Equestria alone for 1000 years.
It’s more of a “What If?” than any real polarization.
And it’s only called the “Lunaverse” because one of the bigger differences is that it’s Luna, instead of Celestia, who ruled Equestria alone for a thousand years.
OK, fine, it was 982 years since Luna spent the first 12 years as a wandering drunkard.
