And this turned out a spoiler after all, exactly the last thing you see before the credits roll.
I dunno , the synopsis definitely states that RD + friends will help Yearling (Daring’s everyday persona, it seems based on the teaser pic) finish a quest to help finish her book. I certainly can see RD’s help being written into the book if this is a near-finale scene.
Most likely that’s what it is, even if it does look like a pretty big ending spoiler that way. I doubt RD would have the means to produce a fanfic in hardcover and high quality artwork. Hers would be in a simple copybook with the title art drawn crudely with crayons.
My guess is that this moment isn’t part of the ending and happens earlier.

Actually, I think it reads as Daring Do and the Ring of Destiny. It does have a bit of a Lord of the Rings vibe to it.
