I don’t know if you’ve ever been in the situation when you were kids of riding in the front passenger seat of a car when suddenly it seemed like you might have an accident, but what was the first thing your mom would do? She’d throw her arm across you. Despite physics saying that it was a useless gesture, she did it anyway, by instinct, because she loves you.
Twilight thought of herself, once again demonstrating that Spike exists in this kind of mental blind-spot in her understanding of her responsibilities. It is the duty of any adult to see to well-being of a child in their care first. Twilight did not.
Spike may be a dragon, but he’s still a child. Yes, it was due to the “rule of funny”, but there can be no real argument against what we saw, and on this occasion, she failed him.
Insults are the first place people like you go when they know they can’t defend their positions, huh?
Her teleportation works however the script needs it. It’s been that way since the beginning.
How dense are you?
Expecting a flawless reaction from someone about a second away from crashing into a tree? Seriously?
SHE STILL CRASHED AND GOT DAMAGE! or are you on purpose ignoring this fact?
>Suddenly learn to fly.
>LB/AS/DM suggests taking the quick route to Ponyville by flying.
>Haven’t worked out landing yet.
>Realize you’re about to fly into a wall.
>Luckily, you know teleportation.
>Teleport yourself safely through wall.
>Forget that LB/AS/DM is with you.
Dammit Twilight, WTF is wrong with you?
Hey the dude is nothing if not devoted. That’s why I love him so much.
There is a genuinely lulzy essay out there which basically “proves” (note the quotations) that Spike is an allegory of a woman in an abusive relationship. It gets into how Twilight Sparkle essentially lets him get into dangerous situations and mistreats him, then follows it up with brief showers of affection to make him think she is the only one who cares for him and that he needs her.
It’s so pretentious and full of shit that it’s a hilarious read, but it’s really hard to find because it always gets spammed or deleted due to backlash.
