Uhh…
You might be right
And we shall watch this epic showdown in the shade.
Don’t be silly. The incoming fire only existed during the flashback between Celestia and Nightmare…
…because only then would our arrows blot out the sun!!
Madness? THIS IS EQUESTRIA! ducks from incoming fire
Yeah, I kinda agree that Chrysalis was a wee bit too… ah, utterly sadistic to come across sympathetically. I think our difference was you thought I was saying that Chrysalis should be as right as Rarity being supported, when I was actually saying that Rarity being faultless was as absurd as pardoning Chrysalis. Still, now I get that we were both saying that both of them were (to varying magnitudes, considering the fate of Equestria being in one) in the wrong.
Wait, we were agreeing the whole time?!?
MADNESS! :)
Fair enough, as I was reacting more to the implication that Chrysalis was justified in her actions because she was merely trying to feed her people. Rarity’s actions and aspirations in “The Best Night Ever” were definitely not a good example to follow, which was really the point; one of the things I loved about that episode was how it trampled on the usual dreams of the protagonists of girls’ programming, of the heroine dreaming of marrying the handsome prince and living happily ever after. Of course, that does result in Rarity coming off somewhat unsympathetically, though she at least learns her lesson.
I (actually do) applaud your wit, but that’s not the point I was trying to make. I was simply drawing a parallel to a readily available selfish relationship to show that Rarity was not the perfectly innocent saint some of her adherents claim her to be on the night of the Gala. I’m not saying Blueblood was either; both of them were acting under selfish assumptions about the other. Blueblood had no right to expect Rarity to wait on his every whim, and Rarity had no right to expect Blueblood to inevitably marry her because he was royal and she could romance him. Neither of them were spotless, I was just trying to establish that.
Yeah, and Rarity wanted to take over all of Equestria and control every stallion, mare, and foal, while Chrysalis was operating under a misconception as to the nature of the stallion she was interested in, not realizing he was a self-centered jerk.
Or do I have that backwards?
Rarity tries to hook up with a male of significance (Blueblood) for a resource (title and money) without any consideration of personality or whether the male would want to marry her actual self
-verdict: Rarity is hero, Blueballz must die!
Chrysalis tries to hook up with a male of significance (Shining Armor) for a resource (the love “energy” he radiates) without any consideration of personality or whether the male would want to marry her actual self
-verdict: looks like Team Chrysalis is blasting off again!
LOGIC
– Celestia is #1. (no duh)
– Luna is #2. (It remains to be seen how much authority Celestia has returned to her.)
– Cadance is #3 on the list, unless she’s off in the Crystal Empire, in which case she’s not considered at all.
– Twilight Sparkle is #4 on the list, unless Cadance is off in the Crystal Empire, in which case Twilight is promoted to #3.
I think that’s called “projection”.
Actually, that’s what I think what happened. {I’m even planning on writing a fic on that.}
that’s why he’s killed off
He never tried. He called out Rarity for being a gold-digging skank and trolled her all evening. What a bro
Blueblood still an ass no one likes him even trying to get Rarity
He’s still royalty.
Since Twilight left Ponyville, technically, Blueblood was then put in charge of Canterlot until Celestia and Luna returned.
Someone who trusts his unknown abilities?
@Miss Shy
He’s in a sugar coma off-panel.
