I agree it’s refreshing not to have them there as a fix-all plot device every time something big pops up. But in a narrative sense, involving them in some way in, for example, the last episode of the show, would give a nice sense of closure.
~ shrugs ~ I guess we’ll see.
It might also simply be irreversible. Hoping they don’t rely on these super weapons of friendship again, as cool as they are.
My theory is that it’s not accident they stayed in their newer form; like, it’s not the last time they’ll come into play.
I was expecting them to return to their original form.
