If Ponychan sucks for you, I’d stay far, far away from 4chan’s /mlp/.
Recolors and tracing will not fly here or anywhere honestly, just telling you that right now. And the sooner you start working on your own style as an artist the better you will be in the future as an artist. But getting better will take time and practice but it will be worth it in the end.

Doll, I use mspaint and I still get upvotes aplenty. You just need to develop your own skill.
And doll, dA isn’t a hug-box. Derpibooru isn’t a nice place either. You’ll have better luck on Ponychan if you want to be constantly praised.

Because you rely on recolor and trace over art. Which is a big no-no in the world of art.
You won’t get anywhere as an artist if you keep relying on these things. This just makes you a lazy artist.
Though you can change this if you were to develop your own artistic skills of your own.

Remember the episode (if you actually watch the show) where rulers from Saddle-Arabia visited Equestria? They were Earth-Type. She doesn’t have to be an alicorn, especially if it is the norm for her people to be Earth Ponies.
