I am not sure if I want to open the can of worms, but it disturbs me that when a man is in a controlling and abusive relationship, people just treat it as if he is just whipped and it’s implicitly his fault.
 
I mean, if you are afraid of being open with the person you share your life with and start to meticulously control your behavior, it’s not some small issue. Also, if you are getting isolated from your friends by your partner, then the likelihood that you are in a toxic relationship is high.
 
I am not interested in a grand debate about the issue, but it’s something to note.
