And again, on what basis do you conclude that things like this “do not belong here?” You don’t know how many people hide those images, and based on their scores they seem to be almost universally accepted. You can’t claim that they don’t belong here when the community at large accepts them.
 
And yes, if you don’t like where this site is headed than you should leave. It’s a much better option than being an abrasive jerkwad towards everyone else.
 
Is it really too much to ask that you be polite and treat people on Derpibooru the way you’d treat them in real life? Is it really too much to ask that you let people like memes and screencaps and not be a bully towards them for doing so?

All you’re doing is transfering the pile you’re digging through from /mlp/, where it belongs, to here, where it’s a waste of space that could be taken up up by something with more value to society– like a ten second MS Paint scrawl of Sonic The Potato riding Rainbow Blob– and then sanctimoniously trying to defend it like you’ve done a good thing.

Well, see, /mlp/ doesn’t archive its posts. There’s really no way to share the few posts that are interesting or clever without uploading them to an image repository.
 
Plus by uploading them here, it means the people here won’t have to wade through the stupidity to to find the diamonds in the turd.
 
Like it or not, Derpibooru is, beyond any doubt whatsoever, a place where 4chan screencaps are accepted by both the staff and community. 4chan screencaps have their place, and Derpibooru is one of them.
 
If you really want a booru that’s more about traditional art, try Bronibooru. There’s no sense telling people what they shouldn’t upload here when it’s been long since established that it’s acceptable.
