I always wondered why people thought that Matter Eater Lad was useless… aside from a cast-iron (and apparently bottomless) stomach, his JAWS were strong enough to bite through anything - including war machines, giant robots and huge constructs- , and while he never mentioned it, his ability to eat anything REALLY included anything and everything. “Lobo, you’ve really gone too far this time!” “Oh yeah? And what are you gonna do, eat my gun?” “Not really…” five bites later, the Czarnians are extinct. (he never ate enemies because he was a silver age hero, after all…)
