Some statements are too stupid to let go. And as long as there’s rumors of a sequel coming down the pike…
And that’s why people didn’t like Equestria Girls.
In the case of this movie, both of them were awful.
>people caring about the lore more than plot/characters
Not all opinions are equal, as Douglas Adams pointed out.
Basically anything made by Don Bluth until after “All Dogs Go to Heaven”, too.
+1. Batman: Mask of Phantasm and Ego Trip as well as the Samurai Jack Pilot come to mind. Those were awesome.
In a world where e.g. Discord is unable to evade a blast from the Elements of Harmony (more than once) even though he can teleport as he wishes I won’t complain about plotholes. I laugh at them, yes, but I don’t complain.
“Being for kids” is not an excuse to have a lackluster story and characters.
Nope, I’m the sort of person who knows something you haven’t realized:
You’re the sort of person he’s complaining about…
@Background Pony #3DC2
Assuming this isn’t bait.
Yeah, I was thinking that, too. But theoretically it’s possible that they all had blocked IDs. Not likely. But possible, at least.
That and you’d expect either…
A) Them to know each others number
B) Have them saved as contacts on the phone
And they admit it was incredibly stupid, too. “Did you talk to each other about it?” “Well, no.”
“Doesn’t know friendship” my ass.
Honestly, Flash/Sunset could have been done better. Yes Flash had pretty much no development and served as a poor love interest.
While Sunset had some depth, I always found her plans flawed. Ignoring the whole “setting up Twilight” thing, I also find it funny how she broke up the M5 with a bunch of texts.
A god-tier pun in the middle of a seething neck-beard’s rage. If that’s not worthy of applause then I just don’t know what is.
Also, it might have given him a new layer of depth, as the rocker turns out to be technically astute.
Flash could have just said “These photos have been altered” and called it a day. Would have been more believable than the route they went down with that scene.
Probably. But you’d think they’d at least use a generic version–call it “PictureStore” or something.
