I always thought of it this way: perhaps Anna was born with magic, but the trolls had to remove it to save her life. I can see her being a unicorn, but completely unable to use any of her magic.
Canterlot is full of unicorns, prince Blueblood is an unicorn, Shining armor is an unicorn, King sombra is an Unicorn
And she doesn need to have a very powerful magic like Twilight. More like Rarity
Only if you’re a believer in the glorious unicorn master race. It’s just that giving Anna magic of any kind removes a core part of her character. It’s sort of the reason why I don’t like fics that give Anna some kind of power, too. It’s just not her.
Anna in the movie is “normal” except for the fact she is royalty. And the unicorns are the kind of pony which is more close to royalty
Oddly enough… both.
