Yes, but only because I recognize black-n-white’s style, associate him with drawing a lot of satyrs, and the character. Otherwise, as has been pointed out on other images of Mistake, she kinda looks like Vanellope.
I said “normal human girl” in the sense that if I saw this on any other art site, I would have absolutely no reason to believe it’s pony related. I would recognize a human Applejack.
Would you guess that this is the half-human half-changeling daughter of Chrysalis, when she has no visual characteristics of either Chrysalis or changelings?
This. Its mostly useful for satyrs who haven’t been named yet.
We tag them all with the parent so people searching for them can find them easier. You could wade through pages of generic “satyr” or you could search “satyr, pinkie pie” to find Pogo.
We have to remember sometimes that this is not only a site for MLP canon characters, but also for the sum creative output of us fans as well, for good or ill.
Uh, if you just search for “humanized”, you see the same thing…
I knew that beforehand and I still don’t see it. You can’t even tell it’s a satyr since it’s only showing her upper body.

They usually also have the ‘offspring’ tag.
As in tagging this as Chrysalis? Yes, a lot of satyr pics have tagging like that.
Had a feeling it was something like that. But that also leads me to another question, that I’ve asked before. Do you use character tags, if they’re only the parents of an OC, and otherwise aren’t in the pic?

I think this at least counts as barely pony related.
