I’d think doing it with a 50-foot-long fanged-toothed, claw-bearing, crystal-scaled dragoness wouldn’t be entirely safe for humans… Now for furries, that’d work ’cause they never die. They keep coming back to life once the murderer has filled their body to capacity. >:D

The Fluffiest
TL;DR version is, generally people are more than aware of the fact that satyr isn’t the mythologically accurate term. But ‘satyr’ is a common enough concept for the average person to instantly get the idea and sounds kinda cute.

True, I think a better term would be Sileni instead of satyr. Silenus was a half horse/half man companion of Dionysus. Later on, the Greeks made it so there were more than one of him. This species became known as the Sileni, and were often seen alongside traditional satyrs following Dionysus.

one of a class of lustful, drunken woodland gods. In Greek art they were represented as a man with a horse’s ears and tail, but in Roman representations as a man with a goat’s ears, tail, legs, and horns.

But it’s not even a dragon. It’s like only half dragon.
Additionally, people really need to learn what a satyr is. They’re getting their mythology terminology all jumbled up.
(Hint: A satyr is not half horse. Or half dragon for that matter).
