“Jewel the mermare from MLP issue #14 was originally named Coralita, and the image on top was her original design. Hasbro asked for a redesign to match the mermare designs from Under the Sparkling Sea, and asked that Coralitas name be changed because the main mermares name in UTSS was named Coral.”

I’m with this guy. I much prefer the idea of hippocampi to seaponies/mermares.
i know, but this model is much better than the ones from the book (however, those models from the book draw in a g4 style look MUCH BETTER).
They’re doing it so it fits continuity-wise.
