Cadence is having a Nightmare

So in this universe did he fall in love with Chryssie during the botched wedding and dumped Cadence, or were they in love from the get go and Cadence was the one trying to ruin the wedding?

And everyone ignored that nightmare scenario I wrote out…

I’ve had this scene running through my mind for quite some time where Shining has a nightmare of Cadance saying something like, “It’s just that after all this time… I can’t believe you are still SUCH A FOAL!” before morphing into Chrysalis in a much more disturbing fashion than what happened in the show, as he hears the real Cadance screaming but finds himself unable to move. Chrysalis says, “Now just hold still for a minute… while I FEED!” before lunging at him…
 
And then he wakes up and sees the real Cadance sleeping peacefully beside him. He then gets out of bed and goes to another room… and starts crying.
 
I’ve been wanting to use this for quite some time, but I can never figure out how to work it in, even in stories that focus on the two.

I’m sure this is just a Cadence’s nightmare and she’ll soon wake up, finding Shiny sleeping peacefully next to her and everything is just as they should be.
