And I grew up with the funimation dub, so I’m biased.

Nah, Sabat’s the good Vegeta. Drummond’s voice was fitting for Vegeta as a villain. But then it just felt weird after he switched sides. Sabat’s is more fitting all-around.
Correction: Lanipator is the great Vegeta that does it these days.
Seriously, I can’t even watch the original version anymore because the TFS guys do such good voicework that now the originals sound wrong to me.
Ugh, it irritates me when people get so confused. Brian Drummond is the good Vegeta, the over 9000 one. He is the one we are talking about. Chris Sabat is the okay one that does it nowadays, he is not the over 9000 one, he is not in MLP.
You guys getting it wrong actually got me muddling them up a bit. And then it got worse when I thought the guy’s name was Ryan Drummond, who actually voices that other Super Saiyan, Sonic.

What he meant was, the line was originally supposed to be “It’s over 8000.
9001 is also over 8000.
Ocean Vegeta IS the one who made the over 9000 meme famous. Funi Vegeta is the one we got used to after Funimation did everything else from Vegeta’s first death to Vegeta developing to care for his family several sagas later.
