If Sombra was a video game boss, he would be invincible while in this form. It’s only when he “solidifies” into his pony form that he becomes hittable.
@Millennial Dan
Funny you are calling them not scary. Because you most likely shit yourself whenever that big jock bullies you.
The fact that your a flutterfan says a lot enough
You know, I always thought the Sauron defense was pretty weak, mostly because I didn’t think Sauron was all that intimidating in the LoTR movies. Big fiery eye on top of a tower, oooh, scary. The Hobbit movies are definitely making him more interesting.
As for Sombra, he’s even worse. He’s comical instead of frightening, so he’s neither a good character nor a good faceless threat.
Sombra seriously should’ve been an season long villain. He seems interesting but they barely did jack shit with him.I hope the comics do something better with him.
The good thing about Sombra is that he is a clean slate. You can characterize him in any way you want. For example, My characterization of him is that Sombra is a monstrous, bloodthirsty warlord that wants nothing more than to drown Equestria in blood and darkness. Also, banging the finest mares is an optional extra.

I think an even better example are the sorts of video game monsters or bosses that linger and stalk for so long.
You know next to nothing about them, but they sure are kinda tough and scary in the mean time, if designed well. :P
The thing about Sombra is that there is almost no direct characterization about him… but instead, tons of indirect characterization throughout the ‘Crystal Empire’ story.
These are two very different means of conveying a character in storytelling, and this is probably the primary reason there is so much disagreement on how ‘good’ a character King Sombra is, depending on which of these forms of character building are more engaging for them, within the confines of this show.
Sombra was a cool villian.
Cadence was protecting the Crystal empire, Shining was useless by the fact his horn was blocked by Sombra dark magic.
This character was the terror of the episode.
And to think that this is Sombra’s weakest form, and he still bitch slapped Shining Armor. I don’t want to know what would happen if Shining Armor had to face Sombra’s true form. I would have advised Cadence to start mourning.
She’s here, you just got look.
Fluttershy? What Fluttershy are you referring to?I don’t see a Fluttershy anywhere?
But lost them soon after.
Aw, that’s hurtful.
I will leave you and your Flutter Waifu Tulpa alone
Dude, just give up.I may not like dan but your just making shit up just to try and piss him off.
At least he did stuff in his life. What did you do besides being friendzoned?
I have nothing in particular to say to that, so here’s a random thing.

That’s something that I’ve tried to point out occasionally. Sauron himself isn’t too frightening, but his armies and monsters certainly are.
People forget often that the Sauron Defence hardly works because Sauron had way more than an eye on a tower at his disposal.
You know, like the thousands of evil creatures and people at his beck and call.
As for Sombra, he’s even worse. He’s comical instead of frightening, so he’s neither a good character nor a good faceless threat.

I’m not sure what you mean.
