I don’t think it works that way, Everything we’ve seen points to ponies being talented into things they love, their Cutie-marks seem to represent their talent just as much as it represents who they are as an individual, they find the things they love to do, and they realize that’s what they’re meant to do, as such their talents seem like they’re ingrained into their soul, I’m not sure they are capable of not loving their talents.
 
…Unless of course they suffer a mid-life crises, then who knows what happens

Half the things there are deadly to everything else and don’t start with Fluttershy’s stare and stuff pretty sure that’s unique to her due to Element and Talent. So yeah being heavyhanded is a given. I’ve always had this in my mind what if a pony HATES what he is talented into?

Because he hasn’t discovered his talent. He’s like the CMC in that he thinks he’s meant to be a creature tamer, when obviously he’s struggling with it; all he does is yell at them.

Like someone stuck Metalocalypse, Kratos and the Rancor trainer (Malakili, which we seem to maybe be using for his name now) in a blender and then ponified the result.

He takes Cutie Mark Crusading to extremes. he’s handling horribly dangerous creatures just to see if he can get his cutie mark in it.

Illegal? Rainbow dash slave-traded Fluttershy off for a BOOK, and Twilight was perfectly fine with it, I don’t think Equestria has very strict laws
