The Neutrino

Spike: Well, it’s getting interesting. Masked Matterhorn is hooked up with Mistress Marevelous.

Rarity: WHAT?! What about that plucky reporter mare he’s always with?

Spike: Reboot. It happened after Fili-Second broke the time barrier. I’m still catching up.

Rarity: Scoot over.

Nitpicking’s usually the first sign of an overly-obsessed control freak. Most of the people I meet (Well, about 60 percent, so maybe not most) with relationship problems or unbalanced relationships always have it start with the other half not liking something that the other does that’s perfectly harmless - despite knowing and acknowledging that it’s their interest.

We even had a whole forum on this at a coffee table from our little gang and from the dudes and dudettes that gave their input on the boyfriend-girlfriend thing say that a messy boil always starts with the nitpicking, evolves into poking, and builds and builds until she/he has full control of your contact list and daily schedule.

There are exceptions out there and there are remedies, but that’s how most of these start.

she’s just commenting, i also sometimes tells stuff to my BF because he’s playing videogames but he’s not kicking me for that. Lets take things with some more humour pls, so much overreaction for everything, rly.

It’s a part of being in a compromised relationship. My aunt puts up with my uncle’s continual love for Superman (He’s even got the Man of Steel original by John Byrne) to the point she’s fine with him having close to two hundred copies dating way back to the 70s. In return, he doesn’t mind her having her porcelain collection all around their house. Same thing for my other uncle: he’s got an expensive hobby of collecting vintage Harleys (!) and his wife doesn’t mind - although I can’t remember if she collects Edgar Allen Poe or old fashion magazines.

My point is, if you’re interested in a girl and expect your relationship to last, she should be okay with your hobbies, so long as you don’t leave a great big mess with them wherever you go or violate her territory with it. Having a girl that looks down on your interests but still wanting to bed her makes for volatile material.

“Yes, I do. Good thing I don’t still have any lingering affection for you.”

Seriously, though. If your girlfriend nitpicks on your comic book reading, she’s gotta go.
