Sounds fine by me. Although my concept they’re already superior in one aspect lets say magic/flying. So they go about their daily lives. Unless they have a bloodline of a royalty.

I’m just trying to make alicorn OCs into genuinely likeable characters. Like, “I would totally have a drink with this guy/girl” likeable. And the best way to do that is to remove their superiority to regular ponies and give them a unique challenge in their life.

Headcanon: Alicorns are actually quite common. They’re hybrids. Since they possess both a unicorn’s horn and a pegasus’s wings, their natural magic is too mixed up to use either. Unless they train on specifically one for years, and even then, they won’t get much anywhere.
 
They’re like earth ponies minus the strength and dexterity.
 
Tada! Now alicorn OCs can exist without causing riots. Ain’t I a genius? ;)
