Derpibooru is not an open minded Crowd at all,  
You have to throw sh*t at the wall to see what sticks,  
You can draw a cute picture and they will hate it cause of an Oc, you can draw a touching comic and they will hate it cause of the style its in. But other times they will be perfectly fine with it.
 
This image has an adorable spike and an even cuter Snowdrop.Did I know everyone would downvote this? No.
 
People here are just to hard headed to look past one tiny thing in any image that they dont like, and constantly dispense downvotes for it.
