I didn’t like this as much as I had hoped. There were some interesting ideas, such as the fight scene, as well as King Sombra using the Princesses’ fears against them, but I was ultimately disappointed. Whatever happened to Celestia and Luna taking him down together, by destroying his physical form? What about Sombra getting the last laugh by cursing the Crystal Empire, causing it to vanish for 1000 years? I wasn’t even all that keen on Princess Luna stealing the spotlight in the end, despite the Nightmare Moon foreshadowing!
 
I commend the people involved for their efforts, but I can’t say I enjoyed this one.

He was about as talkative as any other villain when they come across one who they view as a worthy ally. Remember the season 4 finale? Tirek did the same thing with Discord. I’m sure there are countless other times a villain tried to sway the hero to their side. So it’s not a bad thing.
 
The only thing I felt is that this animation…Felt incomplete in of itself. Of course, watching this and A Tale of One Shadow, makes the story much better, since it gives us some more sense.
 
And we can’t really say what type of guy Sombra is by the show, since we barely got to know him. All we know is that he was an avid trap-maker. You can really paint any type of personality on him. {I doubt he was still sane in ‘The Crystal Empire’. His mind was probably destroyed when he was banished to the shadows.}
 
I for one, loved the animation. The only thing I would have liked more is if they had Luna’s voice change/warp or even kind of have a second deeper voice echo when she started channeling Nightmare Moon. That’s more of a personal thing really.

Fall of the Empire was no different than many fanfics I read about this battle and absolutely hated it when it when it went Sombra sucks Luna/Nightmare rocks and they turned Sombra into a stereotypical talkative villain. Sombra was the ‘‘no talk and let your actions do the talking guy’’ and they ruined him!

Crystals, slaves and tits. Preferably crystal tit-slaves.

About time someone posted from it.
