OK. Applejack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie and Rarity all have the number “Three” in common on their cutie marks. What I mean is three apples, three gems, etc. (Bumerous background characters do too like Bon-Bon and Caramel.) However, Out of the Mane 6 Rainbow Dash doesn’t have that in common with the other characters at least not in the same way; There are three colors in the rainbow lightning bolt on her cutie mark plus a cloud.
 
And Twilight does have that sort-of in common; One big pink star, one white star behind that pink one and one set of smaller stars; Three.

Something about the color combination maybe, lavender-white-dark pink. :P

The number of points on all of the stars of Twi’s cutie mark add up to 42!

Also, if you count the points of all the stars you get 42. Which was also Twilights number in the running of the leaves.
