“Oh Spike Dear, who is your new friend?”, said the walking marshmallow clamping two hooves upon my hand.  
Chuckling intensified from Sweetie Belle and Spike. “Friend”, they giggled in unison.  
“Dear, please come in.”, said Rarity hastily leading me to an open area in her powdered-pink dressing room. “Stars above, look at you!”  
I looked at myself. “Yes, I’m some kind of mons,”  
“Oh Sweetie Belle, she has your hair.”, interrupted a spirited Rarity. “And Spike, your tail spikes… And Sweetie Belle’s eyes….”. Rarity’s tone diminished as momentously as the cogs turned over in her mind… “…And she has Sweetie Belle’s horn,, and,, tone….”  
Rarity glanced mechanically to the children, and then fixated upon the ancient magical tome propped against a sitting stool.  
It took all of 10 elongated seconds for her to put two and two together.  
“Sweet Celestia of Equestria! SPIKE AND NEWLY DISOWNED SISTER!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?!!!”  
And that’s when I saw a theatrical ‘pony’ have a perfectly executed ‘anger faint’.  
After several minutes of fan waving and wet towels, the hysteria faded until Rarity could construct coherent sentences. Sweetie Belle and Spike outlined all that had transpired a few hours earlier.  
“I see.”, said Rarity composed. “Spike! Sweetie Belle!”, she announced. “I don’t know whether I abhor this outcome, or feel gratified that she is related to us.” “But nevertheless, a sister in need,,,, what is it again you are darling?”, asked Rarity.  
I proceeded to explain, “I’m some sort of mons,”  
“Oh, but still,”, said Rarity interrupting, now beaming with designers vigour, “this figure, this shape, these wings, Darling! I simply must make you a dress.”, said Rarity switching to some sort of creative coping mechanism.  
And that’s where I learned all about ““Dragon fashion””, where ““Dragon fashion”” had never existed before. That, and new market opportunities awaited, along with a whole dragon themed collection.  
This was getting out of hand…

Bon Bon yelled with ‘in your face’ rage, “DO YOU SMELL IT LYRA!? WELL!! DO YAH!?”  
Lyra nodded in intense delight.  
“I Know You Smell It! I Can Smell It!”, said Bon Bon loudly.  
Lyra’s head bobbed up and down.  
Bon Bon leaned in to whisper to Lyra’s ear, “I think it’s a hu,”  
Lyra’s hoof gently covered Bon Bon’s lips.  
Bon Bon nodded understanding and each of the mares glanced secretively around the room for eavesdroppers.  
Bon Bon whispered barely audibly, directly into the soft of Lyra’s ear, “Let’s boogie.”

Twilight raised her self from the desk as small test tubes of indiscriminate colors and scents dropped from her face. Tiredly, she pushed puddles of paper and ash stuck to her limbs onto the ground. She yawned groggily and slapped her lips in a waking ritual.  
Her ears pricked up and her eyes sparked with fervor, “Science!… I can sense it!”  
Twilight clutched for her crown and placed it onto her head, gauze and litmus strips still entangled. “There is unrestrained science!…. Somewhere! By Celestia’s Great White Asymptote!! I will find it!…. I ‘WILL’, FIND IT!!!”.
