That explains it. I suck at games, so I don’t play them.
Sounds like an awesome character, though. Maybe I need to find a walkthrough.
Trias the Betrayer from Planescape Torment
Trias is a deva, a celestial being from the Upper Planes. You first encountered him in the prison of Curst, imprisoned in an obsidian bubble. His beauty is astonishing to behold; the aura of goodness rolls from him like a glorious wave of light. His wings are charred down to the bone, yet he seems to bear his suffering with pride.
A fallen Deva who had some past dealings with the Nameless One. In the game, Trias and the Nameless One’s paths cross only tangentially.
Trias is a character from the phenomenal computer role playing game Planescape Torment. He is a angel who believed the forces of heaven weren’t doing enough about the Hells, and to remedy that, lead a band of demons against heaven as a sort of wake of call. He failed, had his wings burned to bone, and was cast out of heaven, the pearly gates forever sealed to him. The player finds him, gets an info dump, and has the option of releasing from his prison, though one party member will harshly object to this and cut him down on the spot.
I have made it my business to watch or at least own a copy of everything de Lancie has ever been in and I don’t remember his role as Trias. Fill me in plz?
Well, it wasn’t exactly a role that included a lot of spoken lines.
Tony Jay isn’t going to be remembered for the Transcendent One, either.
