Being morbidly obese is not “beautiful”, it’s a health risk.

This sounds like an oxymoron. It’s the same as saying “All food is spicy”. It’s a word we use to describe the body type to differentiate it from others. All body types CANNOT be beautiful, or else it would invalidate the word.

Except the ugly ones. You know who you are.

@Tenafly Viper Yeah, a lot of the positive ones tend to fall into ‘unintentional implications’ I’ve found. They rush too fast towards making them ‘positive in any application.’

Yes, the message is a positive one, but it still bothers me that they’re connecting it to a cartoon character, from a show that has not covered this particular topic. It’s just using Pinkie Pie in a way that paints her as little more than an example of gluttony, and then tries to use an otherwise positive message to excuse that. :/

@Justice4243 Huh, that’s a pretty good analogy really. I definitely understand the hard penetration problem (lel we are totally not breaking rule7 mods), I find the chatlogs almost impossible to read at times, a real chore, and then 4 and 5 ran so long, but even tho I hate hoodies (always associated them with smarmy hipster types) I always liked the artwork and I posted a bunch to skaianet before it died. It seems like even the ones that hated ponies/bronies had a way of giving negative criticism in a ‘positive’ manner, and you’re probably right that being the internet’s major joke for two years prior plays into causing a lot of that. It’s more like warring music genres than the usual hatedom.

To somebody, I guess. But that doesn’t mean you have to actually think they’re beautiful.

I think the Homestuck fandom relates to the brony fandom a little. There’s a sort of weirdness and density to Homestuck that makes it hard to penetrate and get into. So those that are really into it have a number of in jokes and rather easy to cosplay characters that other fandoms don’t understand and are maybe a little put off by.
 
It’s not quite the same as bronies dealing with going against societies norms, but both fandoms seem to have to deal with a little more flack than others. I’m guessing Homestucks sort of know by participating in brony hate, their perpetrating the same things they don’t like to deal with either.

Then again, there’s buttloads of homestuck art on there. They’ve always been the least insane/violent of the ‘brony haters’ for some reason. They seem to treat it more like an oldschool ‘nerd fandom battle’ than this crazy life&death struggle like the SU/ATime fans.

It’s their personality, immorality and hypocrisy that shows their true ugly.

At least this is a message that doesn’t sound too insane coming from her. I like it.
