According to Jayson Thiessen, though, it’s a possibility. And Al’s been known to repeat guest voice spots. Frankly, I think it’s likely. Whether the ship would officially sail, I dunno, but a return appearance sounds possible.

At a guess, I think he means it’s annoying Weird Al voiced Cheese Sandwich because it becomes much harder for him to come back, since celebrity guest voices are notoriously unlikely to reprise their role. Discord was originally written as a one-off Q-style villain, it was only his popularity and Jon’s surprising interest in the show that saw him come back.
It means it’s hard for the Cheesepie ship to sail knowing there’s an external reason making it unlikely he’ll return.
Because of what? Jayson Thiessen is a fan, and Weird Al likes the show. I’ve also never quite understood the “Cheese Sandwich IS Weird Al, therefore CheesePie is wrong” argument. No one freaks out about Andrea Libman and Tara Strong when people write TwiPie, and John de Lancie voicing Discord sure as heck doesn’t stop Discord shippers.

Although Cheesepie’s pretty unlikely, unless Weird Al gets bit by the same bug that bit Jon De Lancie.
