We did a little research after finding the cover above on ToyWiz. Apparently this was the ultra rare Hundred Penny Press cover that was distributed in a 1:100 ratio for people who purchased the normal Hundred Penny Press cover. Instead of buying 100 covers, you can now buy it for ‘a relatively small price of’ $39.99. We shared this cover with you, so you can enjoy this beautiful cover, since it’s not documented well on the internet. We’re also still working on the comic database, we just need some more time to get all the covers we can find!

Hey, it worked in the 90’s.
It’s just as it says on the cover- a reprint of the first issue at a very affordable price. Generally, that’s what they are- reproductions of the first issue, although I believe some classic single issues have also been done.
And I recall seeing a “Hundred Penny Press” issue of the TMNT comic that appeared to have the cover of the Mirage Comics TMNT #1 issue… And I don’t mean a recreation, I mean it looks like they took a scan of THE ORIGINAL COVER and put the Hundred Penny Press thing around it… What would’ve been the chances of that issue ACTUALLY BEING the first Mirage Comics issue (since sometimes IDW is allowed to rerelease issues that came from previous owners of the license)?
